About Us

Oakwood Nursery school provides a broad range of activities which help
the children acquire basic skills needed for them to move easily into
literacy and numeracy. The calm and caring school environment is
conducive to such progress. The work is structured in an interesting and
stimulating way with the teachers monitoring each child's progress.
We encourage a strong relationship between home and school and parents
are always welcome to discuss their child's progress with staff at any
time.
Here at Oakwood we understand the importance of healthy and happy eating
and its vital role in the learning process. To ensure that our children
achieve their very best potential, we provide a tasty cooked lunch
everyday cooked on the premises by our in-house chef.
We take children from the age of 2 and upwards, however before this time
they can be placed on the waiting list. Once accepted they are divided
by age into two forms, both with an experienced room head leader running
the days activities.
The school has substantial outside space and outside activities form a
major part of the school's curriculum both in summer and winter.
Children transfer to the state sector or enter Independent schools at
the age of 5 years.
Oakwood Nursery School is situated within the grounds of the
Beaconsfield school in Wattleton Road, Beaconsfield.
